I have been super busy so I haven't had time to post in a while. I wanted to do something fun! What better than a look with socks and sandals?! I am obsessed with socks and when done right I think this can be a fun yet still polished look. Depending on the shoe and sock combo you can look chic, sexy, or professional. Socks with heels are also very functional in cooler weather. Wear your favorite pumps and sandals all year long! I live in the southern part of the United States and the weather has been unseasonably warm. I wore my sparkley printed sandals with solid socks, and a midi length pencil skirt for a playful yet grown up look.

Little Black Details
The little black dress is a wardrobe staple because there is one to suit every body for every occasion. Black exudes confidence, sexiness, and even comfort when you find it in the right style for you. This would be just a basic black dress if it weren't for the special details. The midi length of this dress and long sleeves make it elegant and sophisticated. The special detail of course is the low cut strappy back. I find it sexy because the back is covered yet exposed at the same time. The dress is from Charlotte Russe which has some very good looking affordable occasion dresses.

A Single Hue
I thought this shade of wine was the perfect jewel tone for fall so I did it head to toe, well almost! Matching one shade for a complete outfit is a chic fashion statement. One continuous color from top to bottom gives the illusion of being taller and a more proportionate shape. My top is from Forever 21 and coincidentally it is a perfect match to my favorite style of midi skirt from Express (it's currently sold out). The hat is also from Express, it adds a modern touch for fall. Socks are my favorite things to wear in the fall and this little black ankle sock went well with these high heeled oxfords.

70's Chic
I am kind of obsessed with styles and trends from the 1970's, and how to recreate that vibe with current clothing. A-line mini skirts have been popular for a few seasons but are now redone in heavier fabrics for fall and winter. The A-line mini is flattering because it accentuates your waist and shows some leg! This faux suede mini came from H&M and I wanted to add 1970's inspiration with the tailored long sleeve tie neck blouse. I kept everything black and white with the earth tone of the skirt since there are a lot of elements to this look. The black cape adds a touch of drama and is a chic way to keep warm.

Sweater Weather
Fall is here and it's time for sweaters but with a twist! From sweater coats to tops and skirts dressing for cool weather can be fun! Sweaters can be simple or stylish depending on what you pair them with. This ribbed cropped sweater is from Express and has a matching sweater pencil skirt. Warm and sexy is a great combination and that's what this outfit is! I completed the look with a simple twill jacket and these great boots by guess for a "rugged Chic" look.

1970's Inspired Style For Fall
Styles, colors, fabrics and prints from the 1970's are extremely popular this fall. I find the flared pants to be a flattering silhouette. The layering as well as the rich color tones are perfect for spicing up any fall wardrobe. I may be a little literal with this look, but it is flattering and fun! The flared pants are from Express, and their pants are great because they have a variety of fits and lengths available. I love hats and this one from H&M was the perfect accent to the sweater vest and top. I completed the look with adding a touch of print with the pop of leopard on my shoes.
