Stripes are one of the easiest patterns to wear. They come in all colors and sizes and patterns so it's pretty easy to see why they are so flattering. This skirt from NY&CO (it runs about one size smaller than usual) is striped in a color blocking pattern which is a little different spin on that trend. Black on the top and bottom keeps the focus on the skirt. I dressed the look up with this elegant cropped wrap top from Lulu's.

Pop of Red
A pop of red can add confidence and sexiness to an outfit. This pretty red halter has a classic high neckline and draws attention to the shoulders. Bare shoulders are a nice way to show a little skin and not be too revealing. I thought it was a nice compliment to this full high waist skirt. The top is from Express and is sold out online in the red but may still be available at your local store.

Cutoffs
Just like jeans a good pair of cutoff denim shorts can create a variety of looks. I wore a bohemian inspired off the shoulder blouse to add a touch a class to the laid back cool look of these shorts. Gladiator sandals make a chic statement for any look. Levi's has the cutoffs on sale, the top is from Lulu's and the exact pair of gladiators are no longer available but I found some very similar ones!

Fully Floral
I am obsessed with full skirts! Midi length full skirts make me feel classic and elegant. Lulu's had a 30% off special a few weeks ago and I ordered this skirt, they have a variety of beautiful midi skirts. The pretty floral print and blend of navy, lilac and white caught my eye with this design. I wore a white strapless top to keep my look summery and a little sexy. Color and print are two of my favorite things to style so I thought the red peep toes would add a nice pop!

High-Low Hemline
I've always had mixed feelings about the high-low hem, but on the right skirt I think it works. The high-low is a circle skirt and the hemline is even across the front and gradually falls longer in the back. I think the high-low hem adds just the right amount of drama to the fullness of this midi skirt. The skirt is from Lulu's and it is a thick pleated scuba material which is the volume of the skirt. My top is from Forever 21 and buttons up the back which I think adds even more sophistication to this look.

Fringed Mini
Fringe is still in and it is an amusing way to add flare to ordinary pieces! This simple black mini is made flirty and fun by the light fringed fabric. It sits at the hips and is fully lined. I thought a t-shirt would be a nice contrast to dress it down a bit. I think I am going to wear these wedges out, they are so high yet comfortable! The t-shirt is from H&M but sold out so I listed something similar, and the skirt from Express is also available in a pretty blush pink too! This outfit was perfect for a fun summer evening on the town!
