Good Jeans

I am so excited that flared jeans are back for fall! I love 70's inspired colors and style, and there are so many great pieces coming out everywhere. The key thing to remember with flared pants is length. They look funny if they are too short and can be hazardous if they are too long. Thankfully these jeans from Express come in lengths so that makes it easy! Flared pants look best with heels. Depending on how wide the flare, they should just hit the top of your shoe or a little below but definitely clear the heel so it doesn't get caught. I complemented these dark wash jeans with this great rusty orange colored top and my leopard printed hat for fun!

A Little Camo

Authentic camouflage print was created to make people blend in to their surroundings. However, the print has been redone in so many colors, shapes and textures it does everything but blend in! This stretchy camo print sequined mini skirt is from Express. I love the contrast of taking dressy items and adding a more casual element to make it wearable for many occasions. This sweatshirt top is soft and comfy as well as just casual enough to take the sequins from night to day. I felt the high heeled combat boots were an appropriate finishing touch!

Statements In Black & White

I love the classic pairing of black and white. It works for every season  and in between. The transition to fall can be annoying. The weather may still be hot but the stores are filling up with sweaters coats and boots. Fall colors are prevalent all over the place. Well, when in doubt black and white is the way to go. I got this zigzag print pencil skirt and sleeveless asymmetrical top from H&M in store. The print of the skirt stands out and although it's black the layered asymmetrical cut of the top adds a bit of drama. I was mesmerized by these high black bow pumps which add a super girly

sophisticated touch to complete this look!

Palazzo Pants

 

 

Palazzo pants give the glam feel of a billowy skirt but in the comfort and ease of a pair of relaxed fitting pants! I usually have trouble finding a pair long enough for me to wear with heels so I just let out the hem a little bit. This fun printed pair are on clearance at Dillard's. The little cropped top is from there as well but not online only in store. I added the white blazer to go from dressy casual to a more professional look.
