Tulip Skirt

The Tulip skirt gets its  name of course from the flower. The shape is like an inverted tulip, it is smaller at the waist, fuller at the hips and tapers down to the hemline. This silhouette comes in a variety of lengths and works on many figures. Curvy figures look good because it works with your shape. It also works for straighter figures by adding the illusion of a little volume at the hips and a smaller waist. Dressy tulip skirts usually come in a more structured fabric, while the casual skirts are in a softer comfortable fabric. I went for a dressy casual look with this midi length wrap skirt, which has that tulip shape. I'm stuck on crop tops because there is no need to worry about tucking anything in since they end where the high waist begins. Keeping all of the colors light and somewhat neutral, I topped the outfit off with a white straw hat from H&M and taupe peep toe booties from DSW.
